After returning from Lagoons RV Resort, I found myself reflecting on lessons I didn’t expect.
- Slowing down matters. I’m not great at downtime, but this trip forced me to step back, and I realized how replenishing it is.
- Community forms naturally. Within two days, neighbors became friends. With games, shared meals, conversation, even quiet folks open up.
- Flexibility is powerful. We changed plans, skipped some outings, lingered in reading, dined early, swam late. Options are luxury.
- Small joys add up. A cup of coffee in morning light, shells on the beach, a dance in the clubhouse—these small moments enriched the trip.
- Food connects place to memory. Cooking local fish, making salsa with local tomatoes, chatting with market vendors made the food more meaningful.
Next time I travel, I’ll intentionally leave margin for unplanned calm—and maybe schedule fewer “must-see” stops.
