We visited in late spring, but after reflecting and talking to staff and fellow guests, I see pros and cons to each season.
Spring / Late Spring: Blooming landscapes, comfortable temperatures, less extreme heat. Great for outdoor activity, beach time, walking trails.
Summer: Warmer, more driving for shade, but longer daylight hours. The pool and beach will be in full use. Bring sun protection and hydration.
Fall / Early Fall: Still warm but easing; fewer crowds, maybe lower rates. Great time for beach and outdoor trails before real cool sets in.
Winter / Mild Texas Winters: For “snowbird” travelers, Lagoons offers heated pool, community events, and comfortable living. The mild Gulf Coast winter is attractive for those escaping cold climates.
If you like activity but moderate weather, aim for spring or fall. If you don’t mind heat and want full summer experience, summer is also good (just plan for midday breaks). For social atmosphere and longer stays, winter might offer a quieter but friendly community.
