We had one morning of drizzle during our stay, and I initially panicked. But the resort and area provide plenty of backup options.
We started the day with coffee and quiet reading in the rig. Then headed to the clubhouse, which has games, billiards, and books. We played a few rounds of cards with neighbors. The resort also has indoor pickleball, so we got a little workout.
Next, we drove into Rockport and visited art galleries and small museums. The Rockport Center for the Arts was charming—local works, sculptures, and small shows. We also checked out the Fulton Mansion interior (which is indoors). For lunch, we ducked into a cozy café.
By late afternoon, the rain eased. We went back, took a short drive to a local historic site, then cooked dinner back at the rig. Even rainy days turned into pleasant surprises.
